Dan Shores
Partner Rothwell Figg
Dan Shores is a partner at Rothwell Figg in Boston. He is a registered patent attorney with more than 20 years of experience advising companies operating in complex, innovation-driven markets. He works closely with in-house counsel and c-levels in connection with IP strategy, portfolio building, licensing, strategic collaborations, freedom-to-operate analyses, IP due diligence, and high-stakes patent litigation. Much of his work currently focuses on cell and gene therapies including RNAs, lipid nanoparticle delivery systems, targeting moieties, antibody drug conjugates, in vivo CAR-T, and oligonucleotide therapies. He also advises clients that utilize AI-enabled drug discovery, small molecules, materials, and other technologies. Dan earned his J.D. from the Georgetown University Law Center and his B.S. from the University of New Hampshire. He is admitted to practice in Massachusetts and the District of Columbia and before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. He is a member of the bars of the Supreme Court of the United States, United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, and United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts.
